Bruce Dickeys Florentine Glue up Jig

After the first session gluing the point block, you need a jig cut in the exact shape as the point.  This was bandsawed with a 1/4 inch general purpose Olson blade on a 14 inch bandsaw.  Simple, and fast, even a two by four would probably work or two glued up.

This pic shows the Florentine point block and guitar side being glued to the curved cutaway side.
The block below is bandsawed to match, of course, wax paper lining or your guitar will be a little point-heavy.

Notice the florentine block is cut square off the sides allowing a butt cut on linings.

Another job for the adjustable go-bar deck. Oh hey, I just noticed, the first jig shows in this picture.
It's a 5/8 by 5/8 inch by six inch stick glued to an 1/8 th inch by 6 by 8 inch piece of material.  This gives you a stop for the Florentine block to hit, and the prebent side is clamped to the workbench to keep it from backing up, works like a charm.  Bruce D.
